Job Pool for all individuals interested in applying for Secondary Instructional Coach positions. Applicants can apply here for current and/or anticipated vacancies.
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Work with vertical teams and content area specialists to align district curriculum, develop district benchmark assessments, coach teachers by modeling effective teaching strategies, assist with the instructional program at the campus, interpret and analyze data including longitudinal data for the students, integrate technology in the teaching/learning process, develop and conduct or arrange for staff development and sessions for teachers to focus on effective instructional strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited university
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject/level assigned
  • Master's Degree is preferred.

Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Knowledge of the district's curriculum design and implementation
  • Ability to evaluate instruction programs and teaching effectiveness
  • Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
  • Ability to interpret data
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledgeable of state assessment requirements and procedures
  • Knowledgeable of the district's Rtl Model
  • Knowledgeable of the College Readiness Initiative
  • Demonstrates successful team leadership skills
  • Demonstrates ability to chair a meeting
  • Demonstrates computer literacy and working knowledge of hardware and software applicable to instruction and to data management
  • Must be available to attend required annual professional development
  • Possesses the ability and willingness to perform the duties/responsibilities associated with the position.

Experience:
  • Five years teaching experience in subject or specialized area assigned.

CALENDAR: 207 work days
SALARY: Contingent on Experience
Minimum - $61,489
