Information about the Company: Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes. We are hiring immediately for an experienced Technical Advisor with advanced mechanical skills for its manufacturing facility in Mt Pleasant, PA.
The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 20 years of relevant technical experience in the envelope industry across multiple machines. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills to be effective in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Summary
This individual provides expert guidance and support on technical matters related to production processes, equipment, and materials. This role often involves training, troubleshooting, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
The ideal candidate for this role will oversee the setup, adjustment, and maintenance of envelope converting machines, ensuring efficient production and quality. They provide training, troubleshooting support, and ensure adherence to production specifications and safety protocols. This role requires exceptional mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and leadership qualities to optimize machine performance and team efficiency.
The individual in this role may be called upon to lead projects including improving productivity, machine speeds, and participate in cost savings initiatives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Oversee / Guide: Provide expert guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.

  • Machine Setup and Adjustment: Oversee the setup and adjustment of envelope converting machines according to job specifications, including feeding, folding, gumming, and sealing mechanisms.

  • Quality Control: Monitor machine operations during production to ensure envelopes meet quality standards, including folding, printing, gumming, and other attachments.

  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Assist in diagnosing and resolving mechanical malfunctions, quality issues, and operational difficulties.

  • Production Optimization: Work with adjusters, operators, and other team members to optimize machine speed, efficiency, and minimize downtime during changeovers and production runs.

  • Safety Compliance: Enforce all safety procedures and regulations related to machine operation/maintenance.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of machine adjustments, maintenance, and repairs, and report production and quality metrics to supervisors.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements / work with the team to implement.

  • Collaboration: Effectively communicate with team members / management across shifts and departments.

Other (Non-Essential) Functions
