Job description

Position Summary
GDR Defense is seeking a Protestant Religious Education Coordinator to manage religious education programs for adults, youth, and children at Keesler AFB. The coordinator will oversee program planning, volunteers, special events, records, publicity, supplies, and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct year-round Protestant religious education programs.

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise volunteers.

  • Coordinate Vacation Bible School, holiday programs, and other special events.

  • Maintain attendance, enrollment, financial, and program records.

  • Prepare schedules, newsletters, announcements, budgets, and event plans.

  • Attend required chapel staff and planning meetings.

  • Lead classes or activities when volunteers are unavailable.

Qualifications

  • Five years of paid ministry leadership experience.

  • Two years of religious education or program-management experience.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Active membership in a Protestant church and pastoral endorsement.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual-meeting platforms.

  • Ability to pass the required background check.

Schedule
Average of 20 hours per week, including weekday office hours and some evening and weekend programs.
