The Program Lead manages/supervises staff and the day-to-day operations of the group home(s). They carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Community involvement, group home operations, consumer rights and care, state/county regulatory compliance, staff training, delegation, supervision, consumer life enrichment, and daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hands on Caregiving.Provides direct care support to our members with disabilities by assisting with activities of daily living; bathing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene as outlined by the individual service plan. Be comfortable using mobility devices and practice safe transfer and ambulation techniques like in assisted living facilities.
  • Leads group home meetings and communicate changes with the home, consumers, staff, and organization to ensure everyone is informed and updated.
  • Collaborates with HR in hiring, retention, discipline, and termination processes to ensure qualified employees and adequate staffing.
  • Completes all applicable documentationrelated to tasks assigned.
  • Welcoming Home.Maintains a safe, sanitary and welcoming group home by performing housekeeping (vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning bathroom, dusting, bed making and changing linens); and laundry.
  • Prepares and Serves Mealsby following general nutritional guidelines, menus, individual dietary restrictions, needs and preferences to ensure consumer health.
  • Community Activities.Assists, escorts, and provides physical and other types of assistance needed by members during social and recreational activities.

Education/Qualifications
  • Possess an Associate degree or higher in a health care related field; or a Bachelor's degree in a field other than health care, and one year experience working in a health care related field having direct contact working with and teaching persons with developmental disabilities or posses a valid nursing home administrator's license.
  • Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid WI driver's license, auto insurance, and the ability to meet agency driving standards.
  • Must pass a periodic WI Caregiver Background Checks including Department of Justice Criminal Record Checks, and/or that of previous states of residence.

Requirements
  • Possess Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work or related fields, or equivalent experience (preferred) or High School Diploma/Equivalent.
  • Two years' experience working with persons with disabilities and other special needs preferred.
  • Experience in training/teaching preferred
  • Have knowledge of the human service system
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Have two years' experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Must possess a valid WI driver's license and meet agency driving standards
  • Must pass a periodic WI Caregiver Background Check including Department of Justice Criminal Record Checks, and/or that of previous states of residence
