Job Qualifications


To begin coaching, a basic requirement needed is some background in the sport and documentation of the following:

  • Certification in First-Aid: Responding to Emergencies (District approved).
  • Certification in Adult and Child CPR/AED (District approved).
  • Child Abuse Course/SAVE Workshop completed.
  • Verification of being fingerprinted.
  • If a non-teacher, coaching license in hand.

Potential Candidates need to possess one of the three (3) following criteria:

  • A certified physical education teacher
  • A teacher certified in an area other than physical education (e.g. English, Mathematics)
  • Hold no teaching certificate, but must have, or qualify for, a Temporary Coaching License
