Job description

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Apply a variety of methods including data mining, statistical analysis, predictive modeling and analysis, correlation analysis, probability analysis, and network analysis to solve business problems

  • Develop and implement machine learning models and deliver accurate and quality analyses that translate data into actionable insights to support sound business decisions

  • Use the most effective machine learning techniques to answer data science questions, define data requirements for model development, develop models, and evaluate model performance

  • Document projects including business objectives, data gathering and processing, leading approaches, final algorithm, detailed set of results and analytical metrics

  • Work with peers, Senior Data Scientists and Data SMEs to produce correct modeling techniques

  • Document lessons learned and process improvement techniques

  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics or a field closely related to Data Science specialization and 3 to 5 years of experience in quantitative or computational functions or High School Diploma/General Education Diploma and 6 to 8 plus years of the above experience 

Preferred Education and Experience: 

  • Master's Degree in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics or a field closely related to Data Science specialization

  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed computing, both for data and optimization

  • Familiarity to AI, Machine Learning NLP, including new and emerging technologies in Machine Learning/Deep Learning

  • Knowledge of frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, MLflow Caffe etc.

  • Exposure to Geo Spatial Data, Demography Data 

  • Experience with SQL Development, Stored Procedures, Data Analysis and Data Profiling 

  • Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure ML Cloud Services
