We are seeking a visionary, results-driven Vice President of Sales to spearhead our national revenue strategy and lead our high performing sales organization. Reporting directly to Leadership, the VP of Sales will be responsible for overall revenue growth, market expansion, sales strategy, and team development.In this crucial role, you will directly oversee our Director of Sales who manages a team of 24 Inside Account Executives and Outside Senior Account Executives, ensuring operational excellence while focusing on top-tier strategy and key district partnerships.
This role is based in our Huntington Station, NY office with travel as needed across NY, NJ, MA, CT, and PA for district visits and conferences
Key Responsibilities in this role:
  • Revenue Strategy & Growth: Design and execute scalable sales strategies to accelerate national growth across K-12 school districts, expanding Teq's footprint across current and prospective territories.
  • Direct, coach, and empower the Director of Sales in managing day-to-day execution, rep productivity, and performance metrics across the inside/outside sales force.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Professional Development, Client Services, and Purchasing to refine Teq's "Complete Thought" positioning and build a cohesive campaign to close workflows.
  • Forecasting & Revenue Operations: Establish rigorous sales forecasting models, quota structures, and pipeline analytics to provide actionable revenue insights to executive leadership.
  • Lead high level district deals, build and maintain direct relationships with superintendents and district leaders. Travel as needed throughout NY, NJ, MA, CT and PA to win strategic district and state-level contracts.
  • Build a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and high performance while recruiting, retaining, and developing top-tier sales talent.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
  • 7-10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, with at least 5 years. Sales management in the K-12 Education or EdTech sectors is a significant plus.
  • Demonstrated history of scaling sales organizations, driving quota achievements, and managing complex inside/outside hybrid sales models.
  • Proven expertise using CRM and sales analytics to optimize territory planning, rep capacity, conversion rates, and revenue predictability.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with exceptional interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to inspire both sales teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Good to have: Understanding the K-12 funding cycles, state-level procurement, district decision-making hierarchies, and EdTech ecosystem partnerships.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field required; MBA a plus.
