About the Role
HeyTutor has partnered with schools in Winter Garden Orlando to provide high-impact, in-person tutoring to k-8th grade students. Applicants must have completed an Associate's degree or higher, or be currently enrolled in college.
We are hiring Math and ELA Tutors to support students in grades k-8th during the school day. This is a great opportunity for college students, aspiring educators, and education professionals looking for consistent hours, competitive pay, and meaningful work in their community.
An in-person background check is required.
Pay & Benefits
  • $20-$24 per hour, based on education and experience
  • Attendance-based pay incentives

Schedule
  • Monday-Friday availability required
  • Must be available between 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Requirements
  • Completed AA degree or higher, OR currently enrolled in college (required)
  • Experience working with children or tutoring preferred
  • Comfortable tutoring k-8th Math and ELA (English Language Arts)
  • Ability to manage small groups independently
  • Comfortable working in a classroom setting
  • Ability to pass an FBI-DOJ in-person background check (District Background)

Key Responsibilities
  • Tutor small groups of Elementary students without direct teacher supervision
  • Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials
  • Create an engaging and welcoming learning environment
  • Support positive student behavior and participation
  • Track attendance and student progress using the HeyTutor Dashboard
  • Assist with student assessments when requested
  • Escort students to and from designated areas on campus
  • Clock in/out daily using Deputy
  • Complete additional duties as assigned
