We are seeking a Sales Manager to join our team at Transfr!

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a fast growing team and have a direct impact on expanding Transfr's presence across public schools in the Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut). This is a relationship-driven field sales role where you will leverage your existing relationships, navigate the complexities of district procurement, and build lasting partnerships that bring immersive career-readiness tools to students.

Location: This position is 100% Remote but the designated territory for this position is New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

The base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $120,000 + uncapped commission. This role is eligible to participate in the company’s variable compensation and equity program.

Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, and internal equity considerations.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Own the full sales cycle across the Tri-State area.

  • Leverage and expand existing relationships with district leaders, superintendents, principals, CTE directors, and procurement staff to open doors and accelerate deals.

  • Navigate the buying, budgeting, and procurement processes of complex, urban districts, including funding sources such as Title I, Perkins, and state CTE grants.

  • Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities, forecasting accurately and managing all activity in Salesforce.

  • Represent Transfr in the field at district meetings, conferences, and on-site demos as a trusted partner in career and technical education.

  • Partner cross-functionally with implementation, customer success, and marketing teams to ensure customers succeed and renew.

  • Build out process and a junior team.

  • Hands-on Coaching & Mentorship. Actively join calls and review proposals to elevate a junior team. You must lead by example, demonstrating what "great" looks like in every stage of the funnel

What You'll Bring:

  • Established relationships: selling into or working within New York public schools, with an established network across districts.

  • Urban district experience: A track record of selling into or navigating complex, urban school districts and their procurement environments.

  • Proven sales results: A consultative, relationship-first seller who can manage long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and hit revenue targets.

  • Salesforce fluency: Hands-on proficiency with Salesforce CRM for pipeline, forecasting, and activity management.

  • Communication: Comfort presenting to senior district leaders and translating product value into student and workforce outcomes.

  • Location & travel: Based in the Tri-State area with willingness to travel across the region for in-person meetings and demos.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in net new business SaaS sales.

  • Comfortable traveling to customer locations (estimated 50% of the time)

  • Proven track record of building and prospecting your own sales pipeline with a proactive, hunter mentality. You do not rely solely on inbound leads.

  • Demonstrated success consistently exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships with strong retention outcomes.

  • Strong consultative sales background with experience managing complex sales cycles.

  • Hands-on working experience with Salesforce.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

  • Mentoring and growing a team of sales professionals.

Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience in EdTech, CTE, or workforce-development sales.

  • Familiarity with Tri-State education funding streams and grant cycles.

  • An existing network of relationships with DOE central and borough offices.

  • Experience selling into K–12 education systems and/or government organizations.
