Position Title: Design Process Engineer
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Design Process Engineer opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Help to enforce and maintain common processes and standards for conduct of engineering activities, with focus on design change management and control.
  • Provide coaching and assistance for engineering teams in implementation of procedures, forms, work guides, tools, and training material related to design control, configuration management, and other engineering processes.
  • Identify, raise, and resolve inconsistencies and deficiencies for between process/procedure and developed engineering deliverables.
  • Support planning efforts and maintain schedule adherence for design and design change activities
  • May include applying project and program management and coordination tools and techniques to daily work and regular meetings and engagements

Job Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other relevant engineering discipline from an accredited university and 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in design iteration and construction execution for integrated nuclear plant design, including work on complex systems and structures
  • Understanding of design control tools and application on nuclear power projects, with industry experience in design change control, tracking, and implementation.
  • Experience in a broad range of topics throughout a product lifecycle, including conceptual design, final design, construction, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning.
  • Ability to work on tasks that require a multi-disciplinary approach.
  • Experience with ANSI/NIRMA CM 1.0 and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B control programs required.
  • Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and aspiration for technical excellence.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter and possess ability to perform both individually and as a team contributor.
  • Travel Required: 5-10%.
