Senior T&D Asset Management Specialist


Location: Fort Collins, CO preferred | Remote considered for the right candidate
Salary: $100,000-$140,000 per year

About Us:

EDM International, Inc. (EDM) is seeking an experienced Senior T&D Asset Management Specialist to lead consulting projects and provide technical expertise to electric utility clients.

If you have demonstrated experience in transmission and distribution (T&D) asset management, utility reliability, risk assessment, pole asset management, and lifecycle planning, this is an opportunity to put that expertise to work solving complex infrastructure challenges.

What You'll Do

  • Lead electric utility T&D asset-management consulting projects.
  • Develop inspection programs, maintenance strategies, and asset-management plans.
  • Guide utilities in managing wood and steel pole assets, including inspection and service-life extension programs.
  • Perform asset condition, risk, and criticality assessments.
  • Apply predictive modeling and lifecycle cost analysis.
  • Conduct failure analysis and forensic engineering investigations.
  • Develop strategies to improve system reliability, resiliency, and risk reduction.
  • Support proposals, business development, and client engagements.
  • Track project performance, KPIs, and resources.
  • Provide technical leadership, supervision, and mentoring.


What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science/Engineering, Wood Science/Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline with an emphasis on structures/materials.
  • 10+ years of experience in electric utility T&D asset management.
  • Strong knowledge of utility system reliability, grid vulnerability, and risk-reduction strategies.
  • Understanding applicable utility regulatory requirements, including FERC/NERC reliability requirements and state wildfire-mitigation regulations.
  • Strong analytical, project leadership, client engagement, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.


Preferred:

  • Master's or PhD degree
  • PE license
  • PMP certification
  • Knowledge of ISO 55000 asset-management standards
  • Knowledge of G.O. 95 and NESC requirements


Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $100,000-$140,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, technical expertise, licensure, and other job-related factors.

This position is eligible for year-end bonus.
