Job description

Job Summary:

The Manager for the Forensic Technology - Project Management Team is responsible for independently managing complex eDiscovery and related forensic technology matters, coordinating with Subject Matter Experts ("SME"), Digital Forensics, eDiscovery Administration, Managed Document Review, and client stakeholders to drive consistent delivery, quality, and client confidence.
The Manager is expected to lead day-to-day project strategy and execution, including developing the technology landscape, advising on preservation and collection scope, overseeing data ingestion, culling, search, review, analytics, and production workflows, managing risk and escalation paths, mentoring junior team members, and supporting broader account continuity and growth through strong operational judgment and consultative communication.
Job Duties:

  • Serves as a primary day-to-day client contact for assigned matters and helps maintain continuity across the FTS Practice, clients, counsel, and internal delivery teams
  • Responds directly to client requests and provides practical consultation within the framework of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), including coordination with Digital Forensics, eDiscovery Administration, Managed Document Review, and other technical teams
  • Develops, owns, and manages project plans, timelines, budgets, workflows, and communication cadences for assigned client matters
  • Executes against agreed-upon eDiscovery protocols, regulatory requirements, processing specifications, review workflows, and production requirements
  • Provides end-to-end RelativityOne project management support, including processing workflows, early case assessment, review workflows, analytics, machine translation workflows, and complex production workflows
  • Maintains proficiency in RelativityOne and develops sound working knowledge of Everlaw, analytics, AI-enabled workflows, and related applications used to support client delivery
  • Consults on technology assisted review, analytics, and AI-enabled review workflows, with the judgment to escalate technical, defensibility, or strategic questions to the appropriate SME
  • Analyzes project data and provides meaningful insights, interpretations, and guidance using matter metrics and reporting tools, including RelativityOne reporting, Microsoft Office, Power BI, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Purview eDiscovery
  • Manages multiple workstreams across assigned matters, including upstream escalation, downstream task coordination, risk tracking, and day-to-day operational follow-through
  • Identifies risks, inefficiencies, scope changes, staffing needs, and workflow issues early and recommends practical solutions
  • Translates technical information into clear, client-ready communication for legal, business, and technical stakeholders
  • Supports counsel and client stakeholders in developing defensible eDiscovery strategies, including assisting with position statements, declarations, workflow explanations, and related client-facing materials
  • Develops, documents, and improves workflows, procedures, templates, and processes that improve delivery consistency, quality control, and scalability across one or more clients or FTS activities
  • Mentors junior team members by reviewing work product, explaining workflow decisions, reinforcing documentation standards, and helping build technical and professional judgment
  • Supports account continuity and growth by recognizing additional client needs, communicating opportunities to leadership, and contributing to high-quality delivery that builds client trust
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provides an encouraging team atmosphere on engagements and contribute to mentoring, development, and quality review for junior team members


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED, required
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred
  • Juris Doctorate, preferred

Experience:

  • Six (6) or more years of eDiscovery project, litigation support, forensic technology, or related client delivery experience, required
  • Experience managing client-facing eDiscovery matters, including project plans, timelines, budgets, workflows, escalations, and delivery expectations, preferred
  • Experience with multi-matter repositories, large data volumes, workspace administration, data migrations, and complex review or production workflows in RelativityOne and/or Everlaw, preferred

License/Certifications:

  • Two (2) or more Relativity certifications are strongly preferred. Example certifications include:
  • Relativity Certified Administrator, preferred
  • RelativityOne Reviewer Pro, Relativity Analytics Specialist, and/or Relativity Project Management Specialist, strongly preferred
  • Certifications or training in analytics, AI-enabled review, digital forensics, information governance, privacy, or related eDiscovery technologies, preferred
  • Leadership and/or membership within industry professional organizations, preferred

Software:

  • Proficient in RelativityOne, required
  • Working knowledge of Everlaw, preferred
  • Working knowledge of analytics, machine translation, AI-enabled review, and related eDiscovery workflows within RelativityOne and/or Everlaw, preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Advanced E-Discovery, preferred

  • Familiarity with reporting and collaboration tools used to support defensible project delivery, including Microsoft Office, Power BI, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Purview eDiscovery, preferred
  • Ability to evaluate when AI-enabled tools are appropriate for a workflow and communicate related assumptions, limitations, and escalation needs, preferred

Language:

  • Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, French, German, and/or Hindi, preferred

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Solid organizational skills especially the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details and quality
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, manage escalations, and make practical recommendations in complex or time-sensitive project situations

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $130,000 - $155,000
Maryland Range: $130,000 - $155,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $130,000 - $155,000
