About You

You are a person who is passionate about supporting the quality, reliability, usability, and performance of Signature Performance software products, platforms, integrations, and workflow-enabled solutions. We need someone who designs, executes, and improves testing practices across functional, regression, integration, data, and user acceptance testing activities. In the role of Solutions Quality Engineer II, you will be contributing to continuous improvement of testing standards, defect management practices, quality metrics, and release readiness processes

About The Position

  • Essential job functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Review business requirements, functional requirements, technical specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and other solution documentation to develop appropriate test strategies and test plans.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases, test scenarios, test scripts, and testing documentation in alignment with defined SQA standards and methodologies.
  • Execute manual testing across software applications, workflow solutions, integrations, reports, data exchanges, and user-facing functionality.
  • Support automated testing activities where appropriate, including executing existing automation scripts and identifying opportunities for automation.
  • Perform regression testing when new functionality is deployed, defects are resolved, integrations are updated, or configuration changes are released.
  • Conduct back-end and data validation testing using SQL or other approved tools to confirm data accuracy, logic, processing outcomes, and system behavior.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution using approved defect management and work tracking tools.
  • Partner with developers, configuration analysts, product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements, investigate issues, validate fixes, and support release readiness.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies, release planning, defect triage, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other delivery meetings as needed.
  • Track and report quality assurance metrics, including test execution, test coverage, defect trends, open defects, resolved defects, and release readiness indicators.
  • Support user acceptance testing by helping business users understand test objectives, scenarios, expected results, and defect reporting processes.
  • Validate that solutions meet client needs, operational workflows, compliance expectations, and defined acceptance criteria.
  • Investigate causes of non-conforming software behavior and collaborate with team members to define corrective actions.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve testing processes for new and existing products, platforms, integrations, and workflow-enabled solutions.
  • Contribute to quality practices for healthcare technology solutions, claims-related workflows, EDI/data exchange processes, AI-enabled tools, and no-code/low-code platforms where applicable.
  • Support solution delivery for government, healthcare, and enterprise environments where security, privacy, compliance, and operational readiness are critical.
  • Stay current with software testing methodologies, test management tools, automation practices, Agile delivery methods, healthcare IT trends, and quality assurance best practices.
  • Coach, mentor, or provide guidance to SQA Engineers, SQA Analysts, or project team members in the execution of testing activities when needed.
  • Support release management activities by validating functionality, documenting known issues, confirming testing completion, and communicating quality risks.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to strengthen testing standards, defect workflows, documentation quality, and delivery predictability.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in software quality assurance, software testing, healthcare technology, systems testing, or related IT delivery environments.
  • Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, test scripts, test scenarios, and defect documentation.
  • Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, processes, and best practices.
  • Experience with functional, regression, integration, data validation, and user acceptance testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Kanban, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to review business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, process documentation, and technical design documents.
  • Ability to identify risks, gaps, defects, and inconsistencies in requirements, design, functionality, or expected outcomes.
  • Experience using work tracking or defect management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or other data validation methods.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple testing priorities across projects, releases, and stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, operations teams, and client-facing teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work, escalate blockers, and communicate status clearly.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality, accuracy, professionalism, and accountability.
