ABOUT THIS POSITION

Advises business leaders by providing data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities. Plans, manages and controls the activities of a team or teams of data analysts for business segments or the company at large. Leads initiatives to analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret and produce recommendations and plans based on company and external data analysis. Ensures that policies and procedures align with corporate vision. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of the function.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

* Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced analytical models and reports to support various business functions (e.g., product, marketing, operations, finance).
* Proactively identify key business questions and opportunities for improvement through in-depth data exploration and analysis.
* Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and compelling presentations and recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and business teams to define data requirements, implement tracking solutions, and ensure data integrity.
* Develop and maintain robust dashboards, visualizations, and self-service analytics tools to empower business users.
* Conduct deep-dive investigations into performance anomalies, trends, and user behavior to uncover root causes and propose solutions.
* Mentor and guide junior data analysts, fostering their professional growth and technical skills.
* Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and analytical methodologies to continuously improve our data analytics capabilities.
* Contribute to the development and standardization of data governance policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
* 8+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering impactful insights.
* Expert proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
* Advanced experience with a major programming language for data analysis (e.g., Python, R).
* Extensive experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and building compelling dashboards.
* Strong understanding of statistical concepts, hypothesis testing, and experimental design (A/B testing).
* Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) is highly desirable.
* Prior experience in a leadership or mentorship role within an analytics team is a plus.
