Responsibilities

Your Role:

As a Senior Systems Analyst-EDI, you will be responsible for managing our company's electronic data interchange (EDI) operations, ensuring that our EDI systems are functioning effectively and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience with webMethods Integration Server, including EDI mapping development in Designer, trading partner configuration, and end-to-end EDI transaction processing, along with a solid background in EDI operations and support.

  • Manage our company's EDI operations, ensuring that our EDI systems are functioning effectively and efficiently.
  • Design, develop, and support the company's EDI integrations within a webMethods environment.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain EDI transactions across multiple systems such as customers, vendors, 3PL warehouses and banks.
  • Support onboarding of new trading partners to EDI.
  • Perform rigorous testing and validation of EDI transactions, including unit, integration, and partner certification testing, to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and reliable production performance.
  • Functional and Technical knowledge of various EDI and communication standards such as (XML, EDIFACT, API Integrations, but especially X12 and AS2).
  • Required EDI integration experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP (S/4HANA or ECC), with additional experience in WMS (SAP LE, EWM) or TMS platforms (e.g., BlueYonder) considered a plus.
  • Collaborate across business units, business partners, stakeholders and various IT team members to shape an EDI solution that meets the business and customer needs.
  • Excellent clear communication skills to liaise between IT, warehouse teams, customer service teams, logistics teams and finance.
  • Work closely with business partners across warehouse, customer service, logistics and finance to resolve EDI-related systems and process gaps.
  • Investigate and resolve EDI transmission errors, failed transactions, and data mismatches.
  • Stay updated with EDI formats, standards, and industry best practices for EDI in logistics, order management, credit/collection etc.
  • Manage continuous EDI improvements and product roadmap within EDI space for the company by leveraging different types of EDI integration to ensure business process efficiency.
  • Maintain EDI security policies and procedures to ensure company's data and systems are secure and compliant.
  • Ensure EDI solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with best practices and standards.
  • Collaborate with IT leaders to ensure EDI solutions are integrated with other IT systems and applications.

Qualifications

We need you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or other related field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in EDI operations and management.
  • Strong experience with EDI standards and technologies such as EDIFACT, ANSI X12, AS2, and VAN.
  • Hands-on development experience with webMethods Integration Server, including EDI mapping and service development in Designer, trading partner configuration, as well as testing and validation of EDI transactions 
  • Experience integrating EDI with ERP/WMS/TMS (SAP, BY, Oracle, JDA, Infor etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

  • Relevant certifications, such as Certified EDI Professional, are a plus.
