What does a day in the life of an Associate System Analyst look like?

As an Associate System Analyst, you will support and analyze systems within the Order Management System (OMS) and Parcel Execution System. This includes assisting with user support, troubleshooting system issues, documenting requirements, testing solutions, and helping deliver enhancements that support internal teams, external clients, vendors, and warehouse operations. This position will report to the Senior Systems Manager and work closely with team members to support tactical initiatives while developing broader systems knowledge and technical capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide Order Management and Parcel Execution System support to users, clients, and internal teams
  • Assist with order and shipping transaction flows and documents including purchase orders, shipping orders, shipment confirmations, shipment status updates, and related integrations
  • Analyze application issues, document findings, and partner with team members to identify potential solutions
  • Support testing efforts by preparing test scenarios, validating results, and documenting outcomes
  • Assist with client onboarding activities, system configuration, and support tasks related to OMS and parcel requirements
  • Help diagnose system bugs, functionality gaps, and process issues while escalating complex items appropriately
  • Collaborate with internal and external users to understand business needs and support system best practices
  • Provide clear status updates to team members, stakeholders, and leadership as assigned
  • Assist with basic data research, reporting, and query-related activities as needed
  • Support continuous improvement efforts that improve system reliability, operational efficiency, and user experience
  • Monitor and manage assigned support tickets by reviewing new requests, gathering details, documenting updates, prioritizing based on business impact, and escalating complex issues as needed.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED required, bachelor's degree in information services, business, supply chain, or a related field preferred
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment while applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in a client focused environment
  • Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies and development processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with business, operational, technical, and vendor resources
  • Ability to work independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, or software support industry
  • Familiarity with OMS, WMS, parcel shipping, carrier integrations, rating, labeling, or fulfillment execution processes
  • Familiarity with EDI transaction sets used to exchange business documents such as purchase orders, shipping orders, and shipment confirmations
  • Exposure to Agile, scrum, project work, or structured enhancement delivery processes
  • Ability to troubleshoot system issues, prioritize effectively, and support timely resolution
  • 1-3 years of experience working within Information Services, logistics systems, operations support, or equivalent systems experience
  • Experience supporting or working with Order Management Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, parcel shipping systems, or related operational platforms
  • Familiarity with order and shipping transaction flows such as purchase orders, shipping orders, shipment confirmations, and shipment status updates
  • Exposure to data exchange concepts such as EDI, APIs, XML, CSV, flat files, or other integration formats
  • Basic SQL or data research experience
  • Experience training, supporting, or communicating with internal and external end users
