Job description

Build the integrations that keep commerce moving-securely, reliably, and at scale. This role sits at the point where client strategy meets real-world technical delivery, translating treasury objectives into working connections across enterprise platforms and banking services. You will lead complex onboarding journeys for payments, payables, receivables, liquidity, and reporting, using both file-based and application programming interface (API) connectivity. If you thrive in client-facing problem solving and want your work to land in production with measurable impact, this opportunity is built for you.

As a Client Technical Implementation Advisor within Commercial Banking, Client Technical Onboarding, you will serve as a strategic technical advisor responsible for guiding clients through the design, onboarding, and delivery of complex treasury and cash management solutions. Operating at the intersection of client consulting, solution design, and program delivery, this role leads pre-implementation discovery and technical scoping, ensuring alignment across client ERP systems, treasury workflows, and connectivity channels (file-based and API integrations). The role maintains close partnership with Sales, Product, and Technology teams.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead client discovery, requirements clarification, and technical scoping for onboarding initiatives across payments, payables, receivables, liquidity, and reporting.
  • Advise treasury, finance, and technology stakeholders on integration approaches, trade-offs, and delivery paths aligned to business outcomes.
  • Translate business and operational requirements into clear technical solutions, integration specifications, and implementation plans.
  • Scope client connectivity requirements using file-based channels such as secure file transfer patterns, including Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) and managed file transfer (MFT), and application programming interface (API) patterns, aligned to supported product capabilities and client operating models
  • Guide integrations with enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, and Workday, including associated treasury workflows and data mapping.
  • Define file exchange requirements using formats such as ISO 20022 (financial messaging standard), extensible markup language (XML), comma-separated values (CSV), Bank Administration Institute (BAI), and electronic data interchange (EDI).
  • Identify automation opportunities and process improvements that reduce onboarding cycle time and operational risk.
  • Support client solution discussions during early-stage engagements, including request for proposal (RFP) responses and technical due diligence.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Demonstrate client-facing delivery experience implementing treasury and cash management solutions across payments, payables, receivables, liquidity, and reporting.
  • Apply structured discovery and scoping methods to convert requirements into actionable technical designs and delivery plans.
  • Use enterprise integration patterns for file-based connectivity and application programming interface (API) connectivity, including authentication, security controls, and error handling concepts.
  • Configure and validate Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) and managed file transfer (MFT) connectivity, including certificate and key-based security concepts where applicable.
  • Interpret and map common financial file formats, including ISO 20022 (financial messaging standard), extensible markup language (XML), comma-separated values (CSV), Bank Administration Institute (BAI), and electronic data interchange (EDI).
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms and how finance teams use them to initiate, reconcile, and report transactions.
  • Produce clear technical documentation, including specifications, data mappings, testing artifacts, and operational handover materials.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a client setting.
  • Apply a controls-minded approach to delivery, including adherence to security, data handling, and connectivity standards.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Demonstrate experience delivering integrations within commercial banking or treasury services environments.
  • Support pre-sales technical engagements, including request for proposal (RFP) responses, solution workshops, and technical feasibility assessments.
  • Implement real-time or event-driven integrations using application programming interface (API) patterns, including idempotency and monitoring considerations.
  • Apply knowledge of Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) connectivity and global payment messaging standards.
  • Partner effectively across product, technology, operations, and coverage teams to remove blockers and accelerate delivery.
  • Improve onboarding processes through reusable templates, playbooks, and standard integration patterns that enhance client experience.
