EDI Developer job at The Health Plan of West Virginia Inc. Charleston, WV. POSSIBLE REMOTE

The EDI Developer is responsible for research, analysis, design, and development of tasks within various systems that support EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) for The Health Plan. Other tasks will include monitoring and supporting automation platform(s) to ensure success file transmission to various trading partner. This employee will also need to work independently and meet deadlines as required.

Required
  • A two or four year degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other similarly related field of study.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • 5+ years in System Support, Computer Programming (i.e. COBOL, Visual Basic, C#), and Query Tools (i.e. SQL Server)
  • Able to update and use relevant knowledge and keep up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to job.
  • Able to make decisions and solve problems and analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
