Description:

Sunnybrook Software is growing — and we are transforming how we connect, automate, and scale our business through modern integration technology. We are looking for a driven Integration Specialist who thrives on solving complex integration challenges and wants to play a key role in reshaping our EDI strategy from the ground up.

In this role, you will design and build the integrations that power our daily operations, lead trading partner onboarding, and ensure data moves accurately and reliably across all of our connected systems. If you are passionate about automation, system connectivity, and building sustainable technical solutions — this is your opportunity to make a measurable impact at a company that moves fast and values your expertise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Design, develop, and optimize EDI and API integrations that power daily business operations across our platform and customer ecosystems.

• Lead trading partner onboarding, mapping, and integration configuration from initial scoping through go-live.

• Analyze and enhance EDI application interfaces and data maps to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

• Build and maintain business translations for electronic message exchanges across formats including X12, JSON, and XML.

• Support communications, data transformation, and system integrations across multiple platforms and environments.

• Troubleshoot integration issues, identify root causes, and provide post-production support to ensure operational continuity.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders, product teams, and external trading partners to gather and document requirements.

• Meet with internal stakeholders and external customers to define integration scope, business requirements, and success criteria.

• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, communicating status and risks proactively throughout.

• Drive best practices in integration design, documentation, and testing; continuously improve integration performance and reliability.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of EDI experience; logistics or healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of EDI standards including X12, EDIFACT, and related message formats.

• Proficiency with integration technologies including JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, WSDL, XSD, and XSLT.

• Experience with industry-standard EDI tools and integration platforms.

• API integration experience across web service technologies and B2B data exchange environments.

• Understanding of database structures, data relationships, and object-oriented development concepts.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred — equivalent practical experience will be considered.
