Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients to assess their functional limitations and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Providing expert consultations to healthcare providers regarding patients' ongoing care to ensure continuity and collaboration.
• Implementing and adjusting treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback, including providing necessary education for patients and their families.
• Maintaining detailed documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries following all applicable regulations and standards.
• Engaging in community outreach initiatives to promote health and wellness within the local population.
• Supervising and mentoring support staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants and students, to cultivate a culture of learning and professional development.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss and strategize patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will predominantly work with a diverse patient population experiencing orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation and chronic pain. Our commitment to cultural competence necessitates that you effectively interact with patients from various backgrounds, tailoring your approaches to resonate with their unique needs and expectations. Your role encompasses evaluating not just the physical aspects but understanding the psychosocial components of recovery.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A current State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as proficiency in computer systems for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are advantageous:

• Previous experience in orthopedic rehabilitation or outpatient clinical settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and clinical care pathways.
• Experience in patient education, community outreach, or specialized therapy techniques (e.g., manual therapy, sports rehabilitation).

Compensation and Benefits

We are proud to offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
