Job description

Employment Type:Part timeShift:Description:As an EMT-B/ED Tech at MercyOne, you will provide prompt and effective emergency medical care to patients of all ages in emergency and non-emergency situations who require stabilization and/or resuscitation as a result of illness or injury in the field.

As an EMT-B/ED Tech at MercyOne, you will provide prompt and effective emergency medical care to patients of all ages in emergency and non-emergency situations who require stabilization and/or resuscitation as a result of illness or injury in the field.

  • Provides care as set forth by the system protocols. Included in this is accurate documentation of the care provided.
  • In scene management, will follow management structure as set forth by the Federal NIMS standards.
  • Responsible for decontamination, cleaning, and restocking of any equipment that has been utilized within the ambulance. In addition, functions as an Emergency Department Technician when not serving in the EMT-Basic role in the field.

General Requirements:

  • Licensure/Registration: EMT-B Illinois license, Valid Driver's license
  • Training Preferred: NIMS National Incident Management System 100
  • Special Training: Basic Life Support
  • No experience required.

Education:

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • Field Of Study: Emergency Medical Services

Pay Range: $17.36 - $23.99 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
