We are looking for a Digital Technology Lead, Omnichannel Marketing to join our Global Digital Technology team based out of Atlanta, GA (hybrid, onsite 2 days/ week)

About the role

The DT Lead, Omnichannel Marketing is accountable for providing technical leadership, execution, and capability creation and standardization for US Omnichannel projects, specifically related to UCB digital marketing efforts (websites and email marketing).The role owns, from a technology and capability standpoint, all HCP, Patient, Corporate, and Medical websites (US) and will manage the full end-to-end scope (intake, delivery, support, strategy and innovation). The role will be supported by contract project management resources and is accountable for managing associated budgets, contracts, and scope across the project execution lifecycle.

Who you'll work with

The role will partner closely with our Immunology, Neurology, and Rare Disease Business Units, Omnichannel, Corporate Communications, Medical and Analytics and Insights Teams as well as the larger global technology team to translate business needs into technical solutions and capabilities that can be implemented and leveraged across the US organization.

What you'll do

  • Partner with the different US stakeholders which are developing patient solutions beyond the drug, and align with US leaders on the translation of their strategic commercial goals into roadmaps of digital capabilities.
  • Drive the Digital Business Transformation (DBT) roadmap of the ecosystem of patient & HCP platforms & solutions, embracing:
    • front-end technologies (websites, mobile apps, social media),
    • journey orchestration technologies (CRM capabilities & personalization of services)- patient/hcp data engineering & management technologies
    • disruptive patient/hcp solutions like multi-sided patient platforms & A.I. applications
  • Act as thought leader to frame the integration of innovative & transformative digital initiatives (globally and/or locally developed) into the local US eco-system of solutions offered to the patient/hcp, ensuring a true added value for them and for the company.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the current but also future eco-system of digital solutions which can be proposed to patients and hcps, aligning with the ambitions of the Commercial teams (G2M teams & Missions), but also on the best practices coming from Legal, Patient Safety, QA, Regulatory Affairs, ...
  • Guide business stakeholders in technology choices, including for initiatives delivered in partnership mode. Bring an outside-in view on future technology trends, including the leveraging of global IT assets and ensure the team is up-to-date with digital capabilities of the future.
  • Challenge business ambitions to focus on realistic, achievable yet impactful solutions (Business Case approach)
  • Design, Develop, Deploy (Project Delivery) and Operate (Operational Excellence) the Web and omnichannel platforms & solutions offered by UCB towards US patients and hcps.
  • Deliver projects in close collaboration with all parties involved (business and IT, internal and external partners), following the IT project methodology.
  • Ensure patient/hcp solutions are TSSC (trustworthy, secure, safe and compliant). Work with the global IT teams to ensure such solutions are developed or integrated and operated.
  • Ensure compliance of the solutions to global process and legal requirements, follow validation guidelines and SOPs (respecting the UCB QMS, GxP & SaMD regulations).
  • Leading cross-functional project teams & fostering integration and shared ownership
  • Manage the team of IT resources delivering and maintaining the patient/hcp solutions in the US, as well as the budgets linked to all of them
  • Follow market trends and industry best practices with the aim of sharing the acquired knowledge inside UCB and of applying it to propose innovative solutions.
  • Actively take part in the implementation of the IT strategy, ensuring the appropriate leveraging of technology skills from other IT teams.

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 10+ years in IT with recent experience supporting pharmaceutical omnichannel digital marketing, digital strategy and execution

Preferred:

  • Strong experience with Digital Marketing, Website Design/Build, CRM/e-mail Marketing, personalization, data platforms, and digital engagement technologies
  • Knowledge of core digital marketing competencies applied in a patient engagement context
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and external partners with diverse internal & external competencies
  • Strong understanding of data privacy (HIPAA/PHI/PII), consent laws, security, infrastructure concepts
  • Ability to evaluate emerging technologies through a business value and hcp/patient impact lens
  • Evaluation, design, development & deployment of digital patient/hcp solutions beyond the drug, including patient/hcp platforms & software as medical device (web technologies, content management systems, digital marketing practices, email/sms/social channels, etc)
