Job description

Batchmaker/Compounder

At ECOS®, we are a women-led company with a mission to create plant-powered laundry detergents and cleaners that are safer for people, pets and the planet. As a Climate Positive company, we restore more than 100% of its carbon, water, and energy use back to the earth, in our four manufacturing facilities right here in the USA.

We have an immediate opening for Batchmaker to ensures the safe, quality, and consistent mixing of all production batches based upon orders received and stock levels.

Key Job Functions:

  • Following batch making schedule and making all liquids necessary to fulfill orders
  • Taking all batch samples with corresponding batch sheet to Chemist for quality control
  • Reporting all problems and concerns with new and existing formulas to Chemist
  • Performing quality control in the lab as required to back-up Chemist and/or Lab Technician
  • Keeping all raw materials properly labeled and stored and in their proper location
  • Ensuring that all batch tanks, drums, pails, and lab samples are properly identified and labeled
  • Providing Purchasing with a weekly requisition for raw materials to be ordered
  • Reporting equipment breakdowns immediately to Plant Manager
  • Requesting all items needed to successfully perform job to Plant Manager
  • Ensuring housekeeping including a clean, organized batch area, in compliance with all safety regulations
  • Relocating chemicals received according to Deacom map
  • Handling other special projects and requests, as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Forklift Certified
  • Familiarity with chemical blending, along with ability to follow product formula instructions and understand Safety Data Sheets.
  • Ability to safely lift bottles, boxes, tools, equipment, and other necessary items
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Detail oriented with the ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions
  • Ability to manage time effectively and multitask

Starting Pay $23/hr
