Senior Financial Analyst
Position Overview
Commercial Capital Company is seeking a highly analytical Senior Financial Analyst to support internal financial reporting, forecasting, and business performance analysis. This role sits within the Finance function and works closely with leadership to provide insight into profitability, funding strategy, and portfolio performance.
The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a transaction-driven financial environment and can translate complex financial structures into clear, actionable insights. This role serves as a key bridge between accounting outputs and strategic decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning amp; Forecasting
  • Develop and maintain annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Partner with department leaders to gather inputs and refine assumptions.
  • Build scenario models related to growth, funding strategies, and profitability.
  • Continuously improve forecasting accuracy and financial visibility.

Performance amp; Variance Analysis
  • Perform monthly variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget / Prior Period).
  • Analyze drivers of revenue, margin, and cost fluctuations.
  • Identify trends across portfolio performance, yield, and cost of capital.
  • Provide clear, actionable explanations of financial performance to leadership.

Internal Financial Reporting
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly internal financial reporting packages.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to track company performance.
  • Translate financial results into concise insights for executive leadership.
  • Support ongoing reporting needs for internal stakeholders.

Finance Close Support
  • Partner with Accounting during the close process to validate financial results.
  • Ensure financial outputs align with underlying business activity and economics.
  • Assist in identifying anomalies, inconsistencies, or misclassifications.
  • Support post-close reporting and analysis.

Audit amp; External Reporting Support
  • Support external audit requests and provide analytical schedules.
  • Assist in explaining financial performance and key drivers to auditors and third parties.
  • Help ensure consistency between internal reporting and external financial statements.
  • Contribute to building audit-ready reporting and documentation.

Expense Oversight amp; Policy Compliance
  • Serve as a reviewer and approver within the companyโ€™s expense management system.
  • Review employee expenses for compliance with company policy, accuracy, and appropriate business purpose.
  • Identify trends or areas of concern in spending behavior and escalate as needed.
  • Partner with Accounting and leadership to strengthen expense policies and controls.
  • Support audit readiness by ensuring proper documentation and adherence to expense guidelines.

Ad Hoc amp; Strategic Analysis
  • Analyze profitability across transactions, customers, and segments.
  • Support pricing and funding strategy through financial modeling.
  • Assist with lender reporting, capital partner requests, and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide analytical support for key business decisions and initiatives.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • 4โ€“8 years of experience in financial analysis, FP amp;A, or corporate finance.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills (advanced Excel required).
  • Experience working with transaction-based or asset-driven financial data.
  • Ability to interpret financial results and clearly communicate insights.

Preferred
  • Experience in financial services, lending, leasing, or other structured finance environments.
  • Familiarity with concepts such as yield, cost of funds, and portfolio performance.
  • Exposure to working with external auditors or financial statement analysis.
  • CPA or progress toward CPA (optional, not required).
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
