Job description

  • Support execution of substantive money laundering, economic sanctions, and fraud compliance and operational risk practices
  • Identify, aggregate, report, and elevate sanctions-related risks
  • Execute sanctions advisory, issues management, monitoring, and testing activities
  • Provide oversight of sanctions tools, data inventory, and end-to-end sanctions data testing
  • Oversee sanctions compliance tools used in transactions and customer screening, including tool performance monitoring
  • Support governance for onboarding screening lists, screening list rules, and list applicability
  • Collaborate on data mapping, lineage tracing, and integrity checks across sanctions screening systems
  • Participate in governance for changes to sanctions compliance tools, including documentation updates, requirements gathering, and system enhancement discussions
  • Monitor, test, and report tool performance metrics and key controls
  • Coordinate with compliance, technology, and operations teams on regulatory and audit requests
  • Support development and maintenance of financial crimes policies and standards
  • Produce independent financial crimes risk management reporting for senior leaders
  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise business leaders on required policy, standard, procedure, or process changes
  • Contribute to risk coverage plans, independent risk monitoring, testing, and risk assessments
  • Escalate financial crimes compliance and operational risks and issues through governance routines and senior committees
  • Identify, aggregate, report, and elevate remediation and thematic analysis of issues and control enhancements
  • Review internal and external operational loss events and oversee remediation plans
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial services industry, risk management, financial crimes, testing, or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in managing sanctions program issues and metrics
  • Ability to handle multiple compliance projects in a dynamic environment with competing priorities across a global team setting
  • Excellent business stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Financial Services and/or related government entity experience
