To thrive as an Economic Geographer working remotely, you need a solid background in geography, economics, spatial analysis, and data interpretation, typically supported by a relevant degree such as geography, economics, or urban planning. Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), statistical software (like R or SPSS), and remote collaboration tools is important. Strong analytical thinking, independent problem-solving, and effective written communication are key soft skills for success in a remote setting.
