Summary:

The Membership Development role fosters and maintains strategic partner relationships to drive organizational growth and expansion in designated regions. Collaborating cross-functionally with internal and external teams, they launch and manage partnership programs aimed at generating membership growth. They actively represent Teachers Federal Credit Union at business and community events to enhance visibility and credibility.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or other related fields of study or equivalent experience equal to eight years

  • Minimum five years business development, strategic partnership, sales or account management experience required

  • Experience selling financial services to HR and benefits teams, preferred

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM preferred

Travel:

  • Domestic travel of approximately 60-70% across the entire state of Florida

Essential Skills:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills: proficient in executive communication internally and externally with ability to deliver messaging in-person and via video conference calls

  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective at creating working relationships with key stakeholders

  • Business to Business (B2B) development and account management skills

  • Experience negotiating contracts and working cross-functionally to complete agreements

  • A creative thinker with the ability to develop and implement a strategic plan

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes a business development strategy based on market analysis and company goals to increase membership and brand awareness in a designated region

  • Sources and manages a prospect pipeline and portfolio of strategic partnerships

  • Works with internal and external teams to conduct proper due diligence, negotiate, manage and renew strategic partnership agreements

  • Develops relationships and credibility within partner organizations and within the community

  • Consistently evaluates partnership effectiveness and identifies areas for improvement

  • Plans and executes event opportunities, sponsorships, financial wellness seminars, etc. within the community and partnerships to expand brand awareness and generate new membership

  • Evaluates partnership and community feedback to suggest new offers, products or shifts in sales and marketing efforts for strategic partnerships

  • Prepares and delivers formal presentations to key groups and decision makers that shares the brand story, encourages engagement and fosters brand alliance

  • Coaches cross-functional teams in best practices and effective tactics for prospecting new strategic partners, lead follow up and driving new membership growth to meet organizational goals and objectives

  • Responsible for building and managing a team of Membership Development Representatives to ensure partner and sales goals are met

  • Tracks and analyzes team goals and metrics to measure the achievement of membership development objectives and program effectiveness

  • Collaborates with the Membership Development Program Team on the oversight and management of promotional items, collateral, event materials, and storage units within a designated region

  • Performs other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor

The good faith range for this position is $84,278 to $101,133 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
