Position Overview:
Prescient Edge is seeking a motivated and intellectually curious Business Development & Research Analyst Intern to support our growth organization. This role is ideal for students who enjoy research, analytical problem solving, critical thinking, and persuasive writing. You will assist in identifying, evaluating, and pursuing business opportunities that align with Prescient Edge's core capabilities and strategic objectives.
This is a hands-on role that will give you exposure to federal contracting, opportunity pipeline development, competitive and market research, and corporate growth strategy.
Description:
  • Conduct research to identify federal, defense, and intelligence community opportunities aligned with Prescient Edge's technical and mission capabilities.
  • Analyze solicitations, Requests for Information (RFIs), market trends, and competitor landscapes.
  • Support the development and refinement of opportunity pipelines and capture strategies.
  • Summarize findings in clear, persuasive written reports, briefs, and recommendations.
  • Assist in drafting content for white papers, capabilities statements, or proposal sections.
  • Collaborate with business development, technical SMEs, and corporate leadership to validate opportunity fit and strategic alignment.
  • Track relevant government procurement activity, priorities, and spending trends using public and subscription based tools (e.g., SAM.gov, GovWin, FPDS).
  • Support adhoc research and analysis tasks as required.

Job Requirements
Requirements:
  • Strong desire to read, learn, and absorb complex information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an interest in persuasive writing and analytical storytelling.
  • Ability to conduct structured research, interpret data, and present insights clearly.
  • Self motivated with high intellectual curiosity and attention to detail.

  • Currently pursuing a degree in business, international relations, political science, economics, national security, public policy, or a related field.
