Job description

Position: Senior Business Analyst, Commercial Economics
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid)
Overview: The Senior Business Analyst, Commercial Economics supports customer analytics across IB Legal, helping drive revenue growth and margin improvement. This role partners with Sales, Marketing, Product, Revenue Operations, and Lifecycle teams to generate insights that inform key Commercial and GTM decisions across the platform. A successful candidate in this role will leverage a blend of hands-on business intelligence, commercial foresight, and advanced AI proficiency.
IB Legal is consolidating multiple legacy businesses into a unified commercial platform, and this role will flex AI fluency, strategic thinking and tactical execution to support customer insights and performance across products and channels.
Key Responsibilities
  • Apply AI modeling to build contraction, expansion, and usage reporting across customer segments and various packaging motions
  • Identify opportunities to improve revenue, retention, and margin through data-driven insights
  • Evaluate bundle performance and cross-sell opportunities across the portfolio
  • Partner with sales and lifecycle teams to assess customer performance and identify expansion opportunities
  • Efficiently extract data from various sources, manipulate, validate, and turn numbers into actionable insights to drive commercial policies and decisions
  • Deploy AI-driven modeling to identify behavioral patterns, align data across various sources, and streamline existing processes to hone a crisp point of view across platforms.
What You'll Work On
  • Integrate AI-driven methodologies across analytics, data architecture, pattern recognition, forecast modeling, and various tactical execution tools
  • Identify customer behavior patterns across customer segments
  • Bundle performance and cross-sell optimization
  • Customer retention and expansion insights
  • Supporting commercial decision-making with data and analysis
Qualifications
  • 3-6 years in Analytics to support business growth, strategy, and/or operations
  • At least one year of experience leveraging AI to identify behavioral patterns, align data across various sources, or build forecast modeling.
  • Experience working with customer data, revenue modeling, or financial analytics
  • Strong SQL query and Excel skills
  • Advanced AI proficiency
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to mine, manipulate, and analyze large, complex datasets from disparate systems or sources, and transform it into actionable insights for the business
