About the Role
Tried & True Media is looking for a Senior Paid Media Buyer / Traffic Manager to help manage, optimize, test, and scale paid media campaigns across our direct response e-commerce accounts.
This is a highly hands-on, executional role for someone who is excellent inside ad platforms and can make sound campaign decisions based on performance data.
You will partner closely with Performance Managers, who lead account strategy, client communication, and broader performance direction. Your role is to own the day-to-day media buying execution, including campaign launches, optimizations, budget and bid adjustments, testing, scaling, QA, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.Your primary objective is to manage paid media campaigns with precision, speed, and discipline so accounts can scale profitably.
The right person is a disciplined direct response media buyer who understands how to evaluate campaigns against funnel performance and profitability targets. This role requires speed, precision, strong analytical judgment, clean execution, and proactive internal communication.

Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET, with some flexibility based on location and business needs

You will not be expected to own the client relationship. You will be expected to be a strong performance partner who can make high-quality campaign decisions and communicate clearly with internal stakeholders.
How Your Time Will Be Spent
Here's an approximate breakdown of how you'll spend your time:
55% Execution
Hands-on campaign builds, launches, optimizations, budget changes, bid adjustments, QA, troubleshooting, and account management inside Meta, Google, and other paid platforms.

25% Analysis
Reviewing campaign, ad set, ad, audience, creative, placement, geo, funnel, CPA, ROAS, spend, revenue, conversion rate, AOV, and conversion trends to determine what actions should be taken.

10% Testing & Scaling Support
Executing testing plans, identifying scaling opportunities, monitoring test results, and recommending next steps based on performance.

5% Creative Performance Feedback
Sharing clear observations on which creatives, hooks, angles, formats, placements, and messages are driving or limiting performance.

5% Documentation & Communication
Maintaining optimization notes, test logs, handoffs, and clear updates for Performance Managers and internal teams.

What You'll Own
As a Senior Paid Media Buyer / Traffic Manager, you will be responsible for the hands-on execution and performance management of paid media campaigns.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing and optimizing paid media campaigns across Meta, Google (i.e.YouTube, Search, Pmax), and other platforms.
  • Executing campaign launches, budget changes, bid adjustments, scaling actions, creative tests, audience tests, and campaign structure updates.
  • Analyzing campaign performance daily and determining what actions need to be taken.
  • Making sound optimization decisions based on profitability, funnel performance, and client guardrails.
  • Partnering with Performance Managers to support account strategy and performance goals.
  • Monitoring campaign delivery, learning status, spend pacing, bid efficiency, creative fatigue, conversion trends, and account health.
  • Identifying opportunities to scale profitable campaigns.
  • Identifying underperforming campaigns, diagnosing likely causes, and taking appropriate action.
  • QA'ing campaign setup, links, events, conversion goals, naming conventions, budgets, bids, tracking parameters, and launch details.
  • Flagging tracking, pixel, attribution, or event-quality concerns when they may be impacting performance.
  • Providing clear performance notes and recommendations to Performance Managers.
  • Documenting major optimizations, tests, changes, and decision rationale.
  • Supporting creative testing by identifying which ads, formats, hooks, angles, or messages are driving performance.
  • Staying current on platform changes, bid strategies, optimization best practices, and performance trends.
  • Helping maintain clean, organized, and scalable ad account structures.
Requirements
5+ Years of Hands-On Paid Media Buying Experience
You have deep hands-on experience managing campaigns inside Meta and Google, ideally with $1M+ per month in paid media spend. Experience with direct response e-commerce, health and wellness, long form video is a strong plus.
Strong Campaign Optimization Skills
You know how to manage campaigns beyond surface-level changes. You understand budget scaling, bid strategy, campaign structure, audience testing, creative testing, conversion optimization, learning phases, and platform delivery.
Strong Analytical Judgment
You can identify patterns, understand performance movement, and make sound decisions without needing to be told every move to make.
Platform Execution Discipline
You are organized, detail-oriented, and careful with campaign setup.
Direct Response Performance Mindset
You understand key metrics, spend pacing, funnel performance, and profitability guardrails.You know that scaling is only valuable when it is profitable or aligned with the account's agreed testing goals.
Testing and Scaling Experience
You have experience launching and managing tests across audiences, creatives, placements, bid strategies, campaign structures, and funnel paths.
You understand how to evaluate whether a test should be scaled, iterated, paused, or given more time.
Technical Awareness
You understand the basics of tracking, pixels, CAPI, UTMs, click IDs, attribution windows, event quality, and conversion events. You do not need to be a developer, but you should be able to recognize when something may be wrong and escalate it clearly.
Creative Performance Awareness
You understand how creative impacts media performance.
Strong Internal Communication
You can communicate clearly with Performance Managers and internal teams. You know how to explain what you're seeing, what you did, why you did it, what you recommend next, and where you need support or alignment.

Compensation:
The compensation range for this position may be $75,000-$105,000 annually. Actual compensation offered may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
