This position reports to:
Quality & Operational Excellence Leader
Your role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the continuous improvement strategy for a local organizational unit, including promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Each day, you will mentor and coach teams to achieve operational excellence and drive improved results. You will also showcase your expertise by deploying and leading projects to improve and sustain local business performance.
The work model for the role is: Houston, TX; or Remote #Li-Hybrid #Li-Remote
You will mainly be accountable for:
  • Escalating to relevant stakeholders, as necessary, to remove roadblocks that prevent the successful implementation and adoption of continuous improvement initiatives at local level and helping facilitate cases of conflicting priorities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensuring the continuous improvement approach and strategy deployed at local ABB unit level is aligned with the global strategy.
  • Facilitating significant improvements with respect to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and/or cost targets, meeting customer and stakeholder commitments in collaboration with local leadership.
  • Providing training support by developing and maintaining training modules and toolkits aligned with business needs in collaboration with management at local level.

Qualifications for the role:
  • 2+ years of relevant experience (quality operations, data coordination, business analytics, or similar field)
  • Strong organizational and data documentation skills; Comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, and data management systems; Ability to work across different teams and business functions
  • Familiarity with quality systems concepts and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with data collection, entry, and basic reporting
  • Basic knowledge of quality standards (ISO, OSHA, or industry-specific compliance) or willingness to develop this knowledge
  • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) software or data management platforms preferred
  • Familiarity with Excel functions (pivot tables, charts, formulas) or similar analytics tools; basic understanding of data visualization or dashboard creation preferred; Process mapping or audit experience; Lean or Six Sigma fundamentals preferred
