As an Ecommerce Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in helping to grow and sell our ecommerce business by delivering oustanding customer support to address and resolve cusomter needs effectively. Your responsibilities will drive revenue growth by identifying opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction. This role is intended to increase and grow the amount of buying accounts onto our website while also supporting guest ecommerce orders. We are looking for someone who consistently strives to deliver best in class service to their customers.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Prospect and develop guest accounts, with the goal of converting them into fully established Ryerson accounts
  • Follow up on leads generated through Ryerson.com and other channels to onboard new customers and drive account creation
  • Manage and support all guest eCommerce orders across regions, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with customers who initiate or complete online orders to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful order processing, delivery, and invoicing
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and customer experience, while continuously building product and platform knowledge
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions within the CRM system
  • Execute tasks with a high degree of speed, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in business, sales and marketing, economics, or related fields
  • 1-3 years of sales or related experience
  • Experience in the Metal industry is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • SAP Experience is a plus
  • Excellent professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Positive attitude, competitive, goal-oriented, driven with a passion to excel

Base Salary: $52,132.52- $78,198.78 annually. A starting salary higher than $$52,132.52 annually is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
