Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Data Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data systems within our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of network installation and customer service, as well as experience with various technologies in a data center environment. Responsibilities

  • Install and configure network equipment including switches, routers, and cabling (Cat5 and low voltage).
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on data center equipment.
  • Assist with the setup and management of CCTV systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients during installations or repairs.
  • Telecommunicate with team members to coordinate project tasks and updates.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards while using power tools during installations.
  • Document all work performed, including network diagrams and system configurations.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to improve processes and resolve technical issues.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a data center environment or similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with network installation practices and protocols.
  • Knowledge of Avaya systems is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Experience working with LAN technologies and low voltage cabling is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
