Job description

Solar Eclipse New York is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Junior Wholesale & Operations Assistant to join our growing team in New York City.


This is an entry-level role ideal for someone at the beginning of their career who is excited to learn the wholesale side of a fashion and lifestyle brand. You’ll help support our wholesale accounts from order placement through delivery, while working closely with our Operations team to make sure orders, samples, product information, and retailer requirements stay organized and on track.

This role requires someone who is proactive, responsive, extremely detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with customers while managing lots of moving pieces behind the scenes.


What You’ll Do

  •  Support and manage day-to-day communication with wholesale accounts

  •  Respond to retailer questions regarding products, orders, availability, shipping, and delivery timing

  •  Help process and track wholesale orders from confirmation through fulfillment

  •  Maintain accurate customer, order, SKU, pricing, and product information

  •  Follow up with accounts on open orders, shipping windows, paperwork, and outstanding information

  •  Coordinate internally with Operations and our warehouse to ensure wholesale orders ship correctly and on time

  •  Assist with retailer-specific requirements including barcodes, ticketing, routing guides, packaging, and shipping documentation

  •  Prepare line sheets, order forms, product images, inventory information, and other materials for wholesale customers

  •  Help organize and send samples to buyers and retail partners

  •  Support new account setup and onboarding

  •  Maintain wholesale account notes, contact information, order history, and follow-ups

  •  Assist with trade shows, markets, buyer appointments, and wholesale outreach

  •  Help monitor inventory availability for wholesale customers and communicate potential issues early

  •  Support invoicing, payment follow-up, and account administration as needed

  •  Assist the broader Operations team with additional projects during busy periods


Who You Are

  •  0–2 years of professional experience; recent graduates are welcome to apply

  •  Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail

  •  Confident and professional when communicating with customers

  •  Strong written communication skills

  •  Comfortable managing multiple accounts, orders, deadlines, and follow-ups at once

  •  Proactive and good at identifying what needs to happen next

  •  Comfortable working in spreadsheets and learning new systems

  •  Able to stay calm and organized in a fast-moving small-business environment

  •  Friendly, helpful, and service-oriented while still being able to follow company policies

  •  Interested in wholesale, sales, fashion, accessories, home, retail, or consumer products


Bonus, But Not Required

  •  Previous internship or experience in wholesale, sales support, customer service, fashion, accessories, beauty, or home

  •  Experience with Shopify, Faire, NuORDER, QuickBooks, Excel, or Google Sheets

  •  Familiarity with purchase orders, wholesale pricing, inventory, shipping, or retailer compliance
