Job description

Bilingual Pharmacy Technician working on site in the Medical Supply/DME Department of a family owned retail pharmacy.

California Medical Pharmacy is a local retail pharmacy and medical supply/DME provider that has proudly served pediatric patients and families throughout Los Angeles for over 50 years. We work with referrals from major pediatric centers across Los Angeles and provide enteral formulas, durable medical equipment, and medical supplies for home use.

We are looking for a responsible, compassionate, and detail-oriented Bilingual Pharmacy Technician to process medical supply and DME orders. This is a meaningful role for someone who wants a job that is never routine and allows them to support patients and families who rely on timely, accurate care.

Bilingual English and Spanish is a must, organized, patient-focused, and comfortable acting as a patient advocate.

Responsibilities

  • Process medical supply and DME new orders and resupply.
  • Communicate with patients, families, caregivers, healthcare providers, and referral sources
  • Provide bilingual support in English and Spanish
  • Check eligibilities, understand layers of insurance, request authorization, order requirements, and documentation
  • Request prescription update requests and order follow-up
  • Coordinate with internal staff to help ensure timely fulfillment of supplies and equipment.
  • Assist families with questions regarding prescriptions, authorizations, insurance coverage, medical supplies, and equipment
  • Maintain accurate patient records and protect confidential health information
  • Provide compassionate, professional customer service to pediatric patients and their families
  • Help resolve missing information, order delays, or other patient service needs

Qualifications

  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
  • California Pharmacy Technician license/registration preferred or required
  • Experience with order processing, medical supplies, DME, or insurance is a plus
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Responsible, patient, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working with pediatric patients, families, and caregivers
  • Ability to multitask in a busy provider environment
  • Strong follow-through, team oriented and willingness to advocate for patient needs

Monday through Friday
9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Closed weekends
