Job Summary: The assistant athletic coach assists the head coach in developing and executing athletic programs that foster student-athletes' skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. This coach will provide instruction, leadership, and support to the team while promoting the physical, emotional, and social development of each student-athlete.
Annual Stipend Amount: $2575
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous coaching experience or significant playing experience.
  • Ability to teach and demonstrate sport techniques and strategies effectively.
  • Ability to work with and motivate school-aged students.
  • Strong understanding of the sport rules and sportsmanship.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance, vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
