Position Overview
The Government Pricing (GP) team, part of the U.S. Commercial Pricing and Contracts organization, manages the complexities of government pricing to support patient access across key federal programs, including Medicare and the Federal Supply Schedule.
The Senior Analyst, Government Pricing is responsible for preparing complex pricing calculations, supporting state drug price transparency reporting, and assisting in the administration of government contracting and payments. This role ensures compliance with strict accuracy standards, deadlines, applicable regulations, established calculation methodologies, and Bavarian Nordic policies.
Key Responsibilities
Government Pricing Calculations & Data Support
  • Prepare, calculate, validate, and analysis of government pricing inputs and outputs including NFAMP, ASP, and FCP, ensuring accuracy completeness, and consistency with established methodologies
  • Perform detailed reconciliation of pricing datasets and identify drivers of variances, trends, and anomalies across government pricing programs
  • Support the validation of pricing results prior to submission, ensuring alignment with internal policies and regulatory requirements

Regulatory Reporting Support
  • Support the preparation of regulatory submissions for government pricing programs, including ASP, NFAMP, FCP, and related federal and state reporting requirements
  • Conduct detailed data reviews and validation checks to ensure submission-ready accuracy prior to Associate Director review and approval
  • Assist in the preparation of state price transparency reporting packages, including documentation supporting price increases and new product launches

Federal Contract & Program Support
  • Support administration of the Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contract, including data preparation, pricing file support, and documentation required for contract updates and modifications
  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of CDC agreement updates and related pricing submissions
  • Support operational aspects of government program obligations, including Tricare rebates, Medicare Coverage Gap Manufacturer Discount Program (MDP), and Industrial Funding Fee (IFF) reporting and reconciliation

Data Integrity, Systems, and Issue Resolution
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director of Government Pricing to identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies, system issues, and process gaps
  • Support validation of pricing data across systems and upstream business inputs to ensure consistency and integrity of reporting outputs
  • Assist in system testing, data validation exercises, and interface reconciliation activities as required

Analytical Support & Modeling
  • Support the development of pricing analyses, scenario modeling, and impact assessments to inform government pricing strategy and decision-making
  • Assist in analyzing pricing and discounting impacts on federal and state pricing outcomes under the direction of the Associate Director

Compliance, Documentation & process Support
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready supporting documentation for all pricing calculations, submissions, and regulatory outputs
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of SOPs, calculation methodologies, and pricing documentation standards
  • Support internal governance processes by ensuring adherence to established controls, workflows, and documentation requirements

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Finance, Contracts, and other internal stakeholders to ensure accurate data input into government pricing processes
  • Communicate findings, data issues, and analytical outputs clearly and effectively to support cross-functional alignment

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field required
  • 2-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical pricing, government pricing support, financial analysis, or a related compliance-focused analytical role
  • Basic understanding of pharmaceutical government pricing constructs, including ASP, NFAMP, and FCP preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with large, structured datasets and performing reconciliations
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial or pricing systems (e.g., iContracts or similar platforms preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality analytical outputs within defined timelines
