We offer effective treatments for many chronic health conditions such as pain, anxiety, sleep disorders, PTSD and more through an evidence-based approach to empower our patients to take control of their overall health. We have a team of experienced health care professionals dedicated to patient care and medical cannabis education. The Opportunity

Apollo has clinical hours available for a Nurse Practitioner who will work mostly with our veteran patients, prescribing Medical Cannabis through our virtual platform. The candidate can be licensed in any province.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultations for veterans and other patients interested in obtaining a medical cannabis prescription

  • Help educate patients on the use of cannabis as a medicine

  • Follow up with patients and monitor response to dosage and cannabinoids prescribed

Experience

  • Registered with and in good standing with the College of Nurses

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal in English

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to manage a busy workload

  • Team-oriented approach with existing team members and physicians

  • Must be highly organized and have a good sense of time management

  • Informed and abreast of scientific research and willing to learn more about the industry

  • Experience in pain management or mental health is an asset

  • Previous work with veterans and/or medical cannabis is a big asset

  • Bilingual is an asset

This is a part time position based remotely in Alberta or New Brunswick.
