Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will start ASAP, possess relevant experience in the last 2 years, and hold the necessary licensure. This is a 13-week contract position with a 5x8.0 schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the Physical Therapist.
  • Assist in therapeutic interventions to meet patients' long-term goals including posture training, strengthening exercise, and pain relief.
  • Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices.
  • Demonstrate and utilize various modalities such as hot/cold packs, ultrasound, and therapeutic pools.
  • Monitor patient responses and intervene as necessary, ensuring safe use of equipment.
  • Document patient progress and provide education to patients and families.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with patients and staff.
  • Participate in team conferences and special projects aimed at improving patient care quality and efficiency.
  • Comply with all facility policies and safety guidelines.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
  • 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Active license for the state where work will be performed.
  • Previous experience with Select Medical is a plus.
