About the Role:
The Bakersfield Condors are looking for motivated individuals that will work on our Ice Crew during all home games this season (including playoffs). Ice Crew team members will be a part of a professional, high-energy ice maintenance and fan interactive team. We are searching for talented skaters with an aptitude for fun and fan engagement!
Your Focus in this Role:
  • Skating onto the ice to remove snow and ice build-up during media timeouts.
  • Working with the promotional team at arena entrances to provide hand outs and interact with fans.
  • Assisting with game operations as assigned by Game Operations Manager or Game Day Manager.
  • Assisting in the execution of in-game promotions including, but not limited to: T-shirt tosses, game ceremonies and intermission contests.
  • Assisting with arena tear downs on select nights.
  • Creating a fun and positive environment for our guests but providing stellar customer service.

Who You Are:
  • You are passionate about all things Sports & Entertainment!
  • You have an outgoing personality, are high energy, and have a positive attitude,
  • You have strong teamwork skills, professionalism, and poise
  • You have strong communication skills and work ethic
  • You have a flexible schedule, and have the ability to work various shifts, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays that allow for 95% availability for Bakersfield Condors 2026-2027 home games.

Education, Experience and Skills:
  • You have experience working in an ice rink setting and comfortable in front of large crowds.
  • You are comfortable and able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • You are a proficient ice-skater
  • You have the ability to stand or sit in one location for a minimum of four hours at a time.

Compensation:
This role is budgeted with an hourly wage of $16.90.
