Job description

Interventional Radiology locums coverage in Kentucky with outpatient adult-only procedures and a defined weekday schedule. You may be the sole MD with 1 to 2 APPs supporting a high-procedure service.



Highlights


  • Outpatient IR coverage with weekend call not onsite
  • Weeknight call only when you are on shift during the day
  • Typical IR mix including drain placements, biopsies, and steroid injections
  • APP support, with ultrasound cases performed by APPs

Practice Setting


  • Medical setting is outpatient, adults only
  • 340 bed tertiary care center, Trauma II
  • Locum may be the sole provider, supported by 1 to 2 APPs
  • Volume averages 4 to 8 procedures per MD per day, facility total about 23 to 25 procedures per day including APP ultrasound cases

Schedule


  • Regular business hours coverage, Monday to Friday, 8a to 5:30p
  • Weekend call is not onsite
  • Weeknight call when you are on shift during the day
  • Emergency privileges available, credentialing timeframe 30 to 45 days

Cases and Procedures


  • Required, angio for GI bleed, thrombectomy, lysis, embolization
  • Required, CT and US guided biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, drainages
  • Required, lumbar punctures, myelogram, vertebroplasty
  • Required, SI joint injections, discogram

Requirements


  • Must be an MD or DO
  • Board certified in Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology
  • DEA
  • Kentucky license required, open to IMLC Physicians
