Job description

We are Lockheed Martin Aeronautics!
As an software engineering manager of our Software Integration team, you will play a part in our most mission critical platforms. From the F-35, F-22, and F-16, to our legacy Skunk Works, your unique expertise will aid us in delivering breakthrough capability and landmark aircraft that continually redefine flight and mission success.
In this role, you will lead/manage a team of software engineers in the integration, debugging, rapid capability development and support for multiple domain software teams. The team often serves in a critical role, debugging and troubleshooting complex issues in virtual and hardware in the loop environments. In addition to this work, the team builds out utilities and tools to allow for early integration and automated smoke testing of mission system software builds. A desire to problem solve, innovate, and automate is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities will include:
Develop and support widescale adoption of early software integration, including refinement of vision and strategy, as well as supporting the development of updated infrastructure and automation tools
Collaborating with other team leaders and CAMs to maintain budget, actuals and performance metrics
Workforce management (re-assignments and placements, recruitment and selection of new employees and terminations) and personnel management (training, mentoring, career development, performance and compensation, and promotions)
Management responsibility will heavily rely on collaboration with internal and external teams. The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-program team and must have demonstrated effective communication skills
Support technical execution and leadership of ADP, F-35, F-22 and F-16 Programs
You will be a leader with skill and knowledge managing groups of software engineers. The candidate must have a good understanding of agile software and software development principles.
You will understand schedule drivers in support of their engineers on a program in order to find and drive solutions.
