Job description

Looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide in-home Early Intervention therapy services focusing on infants and toddlers (birth to 3 years old). Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, this role focuses on implementing individualized treatment plans that help children develop motor, sensory, play, and daily living skills within their natural home environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate clinician who enjoys building meaningful relationships with families while maintaining a manageable caseload and healthy work-life balance.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide engaging, play-based occupational therapy treatment in children's homes
  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Facilitate activities that promote fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, self-care, and developmental skills
  • Educate and coach parents and caregivers on strategies to support progress during daily routines
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation
  • Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality, family-centered care
  • Utilize adaptive equipment and therapeutic activities to support each child's developmental goals


Requirements:

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensed in California (active and in good standing)
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and clean driving record
  • Clean background check
  • Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
  • Current negative TB test upon hire (annual testing required throughout employment)
  • Ability to work independently in home-based settings
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Experience in pediatrics or Early Intervention preferred (not required)
