Job description

Join Club Z! Tutoring as a 1st Grade Tutor in the Silver Spring, MD area!
You'll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to young learners, helping them grow and develop the foundational skills for math, reading, writing, and SEL. Our focus is on creating individualized learning plans that align with the student's age and individual learning style.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-person, one-on-one tutoring sessions with individually
matched 1st graders and other early elementary school-age students located in the greater Silver Spring area.
- Develop and implement personalized activity-based and other grade-level appropriate learning lesson plans.
- Communicate progress and goals with parents.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Passion for teaching and engaging with younger students.
- Strong knowledge of early elementary education subjects, particularly foundational ELA, reading fluency, phonics, and numeracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience with younger students preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Experience:
- Experience in tutoring or teaching elementary school-age children a plus.
