Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in assessing the capabilities of the Missile Defense System (MDS). This critical role will involve working in a distributed Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation environment, contributing to MDA Ground Test (GT) events, Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI) activities, and MDA Flight Test (FT) support. The primary focus will be analyzing the Objective Simulation Framework (OSF), delivering analytical support to MDA's distributed software threat simulation.
  • Provide M&S framework analysis support for GT events, CDI activities, and Flight Test support.
  • Perform verification of OSF and element configuration settings based on HWIL run data and documentation.
  • Perform the analysis for the integration of current and future software capabilities into OSF.
  • Ensure event data quality and integrity through verification and validation analysis of test data.
  • Develop and run Python tools to support M&S analysis activities.
  • Document and communicate analysis results across interdisciplinary teams.
  • Collaborate with a team of analysts and engineers to ensure the successful execution of test simulation campaigns.
  • Experience with Modeling and Simulation Frameworks.
  • Expertise in areas of Missile Defense data analysis to include trajectory, RF/EOIR signatures, environmental effects, or tactical communications.
  • Familiarity with Python scripting language.
  • Familiarity with Linux.
  • Possess the ability to clearly express ideas/concepts, perform as part of a team, and be capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Displays excellent communication, organizational, and technical writing skills and takes a proactive role to ensure that responsibilities are completed on or ahead of schedule.
  • Displays the ability to work within a collaborative environment composed of Government, Prime Contractor, and Supporting Contractor personnel.
  • Possess the ability to present and explain analytical information in front of varied audiences.

Qualifications;
  • BS in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science from an accredited university
  • 10+ years' relevant experience
  • SECRET security clearance
  • Knowledge of the HWIL architecture infrastructure, including truth presentation utilizing Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) adapter, and/or Ground Test Integrated System Simulation (GTISS) adapter.
  • Knowledge of the HWIL architecture infrastructure truth presentation to the element models (SMHR, signatures, environment).
  • Familiarity with data analysis libraries in Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
  • Familiarity with Network Systems Integration and Test Environment (NSITE)
  • Familiarity with MDA Ground Test CONOPS.
