Staff EDI Developer
About the Role

We are looking for a passionate EDI Developer who will be predominantly involved in developing solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications. Work on designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and supporting API, EDI applications consistent with the specifications and business requirements to deliver business value. Analyzes, designs, and develops EDI solutions and enhancement to EDI application interfaces and maps.
Our ideal candidates are familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests, deployment and have hands-on experience with end-to-end EDI development, API integrations, and data integration processes.
What You'll Do
  • Work closely with business users to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of EDI processes, API specifications, data mapping and integration workflows.
  • Configure and implement EDI transactions (X12) and mapping processes.
  • Develop and integrate APIs to facilitate data exchange between internal and external systems.
  • Design, develop, and support ETL/data synchronization processes between EDI databases, ERP databases.
  • Develop SQL scripts, stored procedures, views, and data transformation logic to support EDI integration and reporting requirements.
  • Perform Integration testing and coordinates testing of EDI, API, and integration solutions with trading partner
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to EDI transactions, APIs, BizTalk processes, data transfers, and database synchronization.
  • Provide regular reports on EDI performance, issues, and improvements.
  • Collaborate with external partners to ensure successful data exchange and integration.
  • Monitor all automated processes to guarantee effective EDI document transmissions.
  • Ensure high performance and reliability of applications.

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in programming application software, computer programing, and design methodology.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working in an EDI developer role.
  • Strong SQL development skills, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, query optimization, and data validation.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft BizTalk Server development, troubleshooting, deployment, and support
  • Experience with trading partner onboarding, EDI setup/configuration, companion guide creation, and partner-specific mapping requirements.
  • Proficient knowledge and hands-on experience working with Relational Databases and MS SQL and must be familiar with framework for DAL (Data Access Layer)
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC and experience with agile development
  • Knowledge of Supply chain and ERP Systems.
  • Experience with ANSI x 12 EDI standards and EDI documents such as 810/830/846/852/850/855/860/861/856/869/870/940/945/210/214.
  • Familiarity with XML, XSLT, JSON, SSIS/Azure Data Factory and other data transformation technologies
  • Hands-on experience with data communication methods, such as VAN, SFTP, and AS2.
  • Experience with cloud-based EDI solutions and integration platforms (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with Epicor EDI solutions and related integration or data synchronization processes preferred.
  • Must have ability to translate user requirement to technical implementation and break down to tasks
  • Experience in using Microsoft visual studio as IDE and source control (GitHub or GitLab) and collaboration/project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and team collaboration consensus required

ZT Systems assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package is created for all our employees. The typical base salary for this position is expected to be between $105,000 and $140,000 per year.If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
