Job description

General Purpose:

Oversees and assists with implementation of human resources systems for assigned Region to include effective staff recruitment and retention, benefits administration, employee relations and human resources management programs, employee communication programs, conflict resolution, training and compliance with applicable State and Federal laws.

Essential Job Functions:

This Company expects their employees to promote an atmosphere of teamwork with other employees and hospitality and comfort for its residents. Therefore, the following list of duties is not all-inclusive:

  • Partner with the Director of Operations in your Region to provide guidance, direction, education and coordination of human resource activities for field locations
  • Compile data, i.e. staffing, workers' compensation, employee surveys, etc. and collaborate with the Director of Human Resources on recommendations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, minimize risk and reinforce company objectives
  • Assist with the administration of benefit programs
  • Assist Regional Staff with recruitment of key facility positions
  • Train field Human Resources staff
  • Deliver other training programs as needed
  • Management of the safety and workers' compensation program
  • Conduct on-site reviews as requested by Regional Director and/or Director of Human Resources
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in human resources at an exempt level. Regional or Corporate experience is preferred in long term care or hospital setting
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Organized and detailed in work performance
  • Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience
  • Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility
  • Comply with the Residents' Rights
  • Perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined below
  • Perform Essential Duties as outlined above
Working Conditions:
  • Subject to frustrations in meeting work demands due to frequent interruptions
  • Fast paced, required to make decisions quickly
  • Involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances
  • May work beyond normal duty hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary
Travel Requirements:
  • Approximately 75% (subject to fluctuation due to acquisitions and turnover of HR personnel at the facility level)
