The VDC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the virtual design and construction
processes, ensuring that all projects adhere to the company's standards and guidelines. This role
involves managing a team of VDC detailers, coordinating with various project stakeholders, and
driving the successful integration of BIM (Building Information Modeling) into the project
lifecycle. The VDC Supervisor will play a critical role in improving collaboration, enhancing
project efficiency, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality digital construction models.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction
Management, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in VDC/BIM management, with a proven track record in asupervisory or leadership role. Strong understanding of construction
processes, project management, and BIM methodologies.

  • Proficient in BIM software (e.g. Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across
  • departments.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Travel: 10-20%

Work Schedule:Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. However, work may need to be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Management:

  • Leads, mentors, and manages a team of VDC detailers, providing guidance and support in theirdaily tasks.
  • Fosters a collaborative team environment, encouraging innovation and continuousimprovement.

Project Coordination:

  • Coordinates VDC activities across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with project goals andtimelines.
  • Collaborates with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure theintegration of BIM in the project planning and execution phases.

BIM Implementation:

  • Oversees the development, management, and maintenance of BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensures that BIM models are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with company standards and industrybest practices.
  • Supports the integration of BIM with other project management tools and systems.

Quality Control:

  • Focuses on real-time quality control related to BIM models during project execution, including daily checks, audits, and immediate corrective actions.

Training and Development:

  • Coordinates with the VDC Training Lead to ensure that team members receive project-specifictraining as needed. Focuses on situational and project-specific guidance during active projects.
  • Stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in VDC technology and methods, ensuring the teamcontinuously improves.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepares and presents regular reports on VDC progress, challenges, and outcomes to seniormanagement.
  • Maintains detailed documentation of all VDC activities, including model versions, design changes, and project decisions.
  • Performs other related responsibilities as required.
