Job description

Title: Learning and Impact, Fall 2026 Intern

Department: Strategic Communications

Reports To: Data Analyst

Direct Reports: N/A

Classification: Internship

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Grade: N/A

Compensation: $20/hour

Schedule: 21 hours/week (Hybrid: 2 days in office, 1 day remote)

Duration: 16 weeks, Fall 2026 (August 25 - December 10)

About the Internship Program

Our Fall Internship Program offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in philanthropy, community engagement, operations, and organizational strategy. Interns work alongside staff across multiple departments.

The Learning & Impact (L&I) team evaluates the effectiveness of the Trust's strategies and investments. The team uses data, research, and evaluation tools to understand what's working, identify opportunities, and inform decision-making across the organization.

What You'll Do

The intern has an active role in analyzing and synthesizing data, developing learning memos, presenting findings, and participating in convenings to further develop their analytical, presentation and writing skills while advancing the learning agenda of the Trust. In addition, through collaboration with Trust staff and stakeholder partners, the intern will be responsible for developing a memo based on analysis of the Bridges to Brighter Futures Student Supports grantmaking, as well as presenting updated survey findings from Neighborhood Development Champion partners with support from the Learning and Impact team.

Expected Assignments:

  • Analyze findings from surveys and reports and communicate results through presentations and written materials, including social media posts and web-based impact reporting in partnership with Strategic Communications

  • Provide evaluation support to the Community Impact team and grant recipients

  • Assist with learning sessions (e.g., Lunch and Learns; workshops)

  • Complete literature reviews of new and existing research aligned to strategic priorities

  • Support the implementation of the Trust's measurement framework

  • Contribute to the development of content for the Trust impact website

  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

This internship follows a hybrid schedule:

  • 2 days in office (Tuesday and Thursday)

  • 1 day remote

  • Advanced data analysis including experience with tools such as R or Python

  • Experience with qualitative analysis software, such as MAXQDA, NVivo, or ATLAS.ti

  • Data visualization or design skills using tools such as Canva or Adobe Illustrator

  • Previous experience supporting research, evaluation, or data-informed decision-making
