Job description

Goodwill of Central Iowa is looking for an E-Commerce Fulfillment Lead to assist in leading our donated-goods retail E-Commerce operations, auctions, amp; employees with our values of love, kindness, and respect.
Hours amp; Schedules:
  • Full-Time (40 hours/week)
  • No retail holiday season! Shifts may be scheduled Monday - Saturday between the hours of 7 am and 6 pm.
  • This position requires a flexible schedule to assist any shift across the department and support business needs.
Pay amp; Benefits:
  • Starting wage of $16.00-$17.00/hour dependent on relevant years of experience.

The E-Commerce Fulfillment Lead will assist in leading the Goodwill of Central Iowa (GCI) E-Commerce Fulfillment team and processes. This position will also regularly package, weigh, and label items for shipment sold from GCI e-commerce platforms.
What you'll do:
  • Engages the E-Commerce Fulfillment team to work collaboratively within GCI’s values of love, kindness, and respect.
  • Assists with coaching, training, and leading E-Commerce Fulfillment employees to safely perform job duties including weighing, packaging, labeling, and shipping items sold on GCI auction sites.
  • Assists in coordination of E-Commerce fulfillment to optimize safety, performance, quality, and meeting production goals.
  • Sorts, weighs, packages, and creates shipping labels for sold items within department goals and deadlines.
  • Performs data entry into shipping system, inventory database, and/or labeling system.
  • Places department supply orders in sufficient quantities for efficient delivery, safe handling, and minimizing shipping risks related to breakage or loss.
  • Oversees and performs proper cleaning of the E-Commerce work areas and equipment used.
  • Safely uses equipment such as conveyors, shipping equipment, wheeled carts, or pallet jacks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
What you'll need:
  • High school diploma or its equivalent, or a minimum of 2 years of any combination of military service, high school, or related full-time paid employment.
  • Must have a minimum of one year of experience in warehouse, e-commerce, shipping, or related industry.
  • Proficient in performing online data entry and effectively using Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience training others is a plus.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of retail industry processes and expertise in e-commerce best practices related to online listing and sales.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and meet goals.
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team effectively and flexibly.
  • Must be able to perform basic math.
  • Ability to use a computer or electronic handheld device to enter or retrieve data.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and dependent adult and child abuse background check.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to occasionally carry, lift, push or pull up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to consistently carry, lift, push or pull up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to tolerate occasional variations in work environment temperature.
  • Ability to be active (such as moving, walking, reaching, grasping) or stationary for long periods of time.
  • Must have visual acuity to determine accuracy of work assigned or make general observations of items, facilities, or structures.
  • Ability to repetitively use fingers and hands to work at a computer, grasp, feel, and move objects.
